Effective Monday, March 22nd, 2021 The Wallingford Housing Authority (WHA) will open the zero (0) bedroom Studio Waitlist for its State Elderly/Disabled Housing Program.

 

The closing date for the Waiting List will be Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 3 p.m.  Applicants may apply for the waiting list by completing the appropriate application. Following the closing date, each applicant’s Waiting List position will be determined by a lottery selection as set forth in the WHA’s Tenant Selection Plan.  Copies of this plan can be obtained at the management office address listed below. 

 

All applications must be complete with copies of all required documentation attached.  Applications must be signed & dated by all adult members of the applicant household 18 years of age and older.  All applications & documentation must be postmarked or date-stamped at the Wallingford Housing Authority on or before April 6, 2021 at 3:00 PM.  FAXED OR EMAILED APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.  WHA WILL NOT MAKE COPIES OF REQUIRED DOCUMENTS.

Meriden Tenant Based Section 8, March 17-31st, 2021

The Housing Authority of the City of Meriden (HACM) will be accepting Section 8 Tenant-Based applications (HCV Program). 

HCV is a federally-funded program that subsidizes decent, safe, and sanitary housing for low-income persons.  

When: The open enrollment period will be from Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. to Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at 4:30 p.m. ET. Only one pre-application per family will be accepted. Duplicate applications will be rejected. If you need assistance in another language, Google Translate will assist you during the application process. 

Where: Pre-applications can be submitted online at https://www.waitlistcheck.com/CT2833-3336 with the use of a personal computer, laptop, smartphone, and tablet. If you do not have internet services you can obtain a pre-application at 22 Church St, Meriden, CT or the Meriden Housing website at www.meriden-ha.com and can be drop off at the drop box located on the right side of the building. Any applications mailed to our office must be postmarked no later than March 31, 2021. Incomplete applications will not be included in the lottery and will be discarded. This program offers rent subsidies in the Borough of Naugatuck. All applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Applicants must meet all U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development eligibility guidelines and must not exceed income limits posted below Income Guidelines:

Only pre-applications that are complete and legible will be accepted. Applicants will be requiredto live in Naugatuck for one yearupon receipt of voucher. Five Hundred (500) Pre-applications for the Section 8 Program will be placed on the waiting list in chronological order as determined by lottery.
