HOUSING AUTHORITY OF SOUTH WINDSOR WAITING LIST OPENING ANNOUNCEMENT– OCTOBER 26, 2018
The Housing Authority of South Windsor through Imagineers will accept 500 pre-applications to be considered for its Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program waiting list through a computer generate lottery. The HCV program offers rent subsidies to households who meet the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) eligibility guidelines.
The pre-application form will be available on line beginning November 13, 2018 at 9:00 am until November 15, 2018 at 11:59 pm ET.
You may access the online pre - application form at the following website: https://www.waitlistcheck.com/CT2561 You may access the online pre - application form using any personal computer, laptop, smart phone, or tablet. There are many public libraries that offer free computer access if you don’t have personal access to a computer.
The South Windsor Public Library located at 1550 Sullivan Avenue, South Windsor, CT 06074, 860-644-1541 offers computer access Monday-Thursday 9am-9pm; Friday 9am-4:30pm; Saturday 9am-4:30pm and Sunday 1:00pm–4:30pm.
It is the policy of the Housing Authority of South Windsor to provide reasonable accommodations for those qualified individuals. To request a reasonable accommodation, please call 860-522-1028 between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
You will need the following information to fill out the online form:
names, social security numbers, birthdates and income information
for everyone in the household.
No pre-applications will be accepted before November 13, 2018
or by hand delivery or fax.
The online pre-application form will detail the specific important information. Applicants do not need to rush to apply as this wait list is not on a first - come, first-served basis. All pre-applicants will have an equal opportunity of being selected.
On November 16, 2018 at 12:00 am the waiting list will be closed.
You will be able to submit a pre-application form if:
you are elderly, disabled, single,displaced or a family regardless of actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity, or marital status, are 18 years of age or older or an emancipated minor, are a citizen, or a non-citizen with eligible immigration status, can pass a criminal history screening and your income does not exceed the 2018 income limits listed below based on family size:

TWO- $38,750
 THREE- $43,600
FOUR- $48,400
FIVE- $52,300
SIX- $56,150
SEVEN- $60,050
EIGHT- $63,900
Only one fully completed pre-application will be considered per household. You cannot submit more than one pre -application for the same household or it will be disqualified.

Danbury Section 8 Pre-application Lottery. Sept 10-13, 2018 Mail and online.

PUBLIC NOTICE THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF DANBURY
Is pleased to announce the opening of its Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program
waiting list on September, 10, 2018 at 8am. Pre-applications will be accepted by mail only (no fax submissions will be accepted) and must be postmarked between the dates of September 10, 2018 
and September 13, 2018. 

Online applications will also be accepted until 5p.m. on September 13, 2018. Pre-applications
 and the online application will be available at the HACD's website www.hacdct.org
and at each site office.

Filling out the pre-application form will put the household into a lottery for possible inclusion on the waiting list.

Three hundred (300)applications will be chosen by a random electronic lottery system for placement on the HCV waiting list on November 1, 2018.

Only one submission per family will be accepted and duplicate applications will be rejected. The waiting list will close September 13, 2018at 5PM
.

Portland Section 8 Pre-Application 8/6/18-8/13/18 by mail

HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE TOWN OF PORTLAND
AND SECTION 8 WAITING LIST OPENING
The Housing Authority of the Town of Portland will be opening its waiting list for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program, a federally funded program to  subsidize decent, safe and sanitary housing for persons whose income falls at or below the following income limits to be eligible:
 
1 Person 33,900
2 Persons 38,750
3 Persons 43,400
4 Persons 48,400
5 Persons 52,300
6 Persons 56,150
7 Persons 60,050
8 Persons 63,900

Applicants must be determined eligible and qualified within the rules and regulations of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the  Portland Housing Authority.
Instructions to apply for the program are as follows:
1.Applicants must submit only one (1) application per household. If duplicate applications are received, and or the application is incomplete or not legible the pre-application will not be placed in the lottery.
 
2. Pre-applications will be accepted by mail only to the Portland Housing Authority, 9 Chatham Court, Portland, CT 06480.
 
3. All pre-applications must be postmarked no earlier than August 6, 2018 and postmarked no later than August 13, 2018 in order to be accepted. The Authority is not responsible for non-delivery of mail. Pre-applications that are faxed, hand delivered, or emailed will not be accepted.
 
4. Only 175 pre-applications will be drawn by a random lottery on August 14, 2018. Only those households selected will be mailed a complete application.
 
5. All applicants not already residing in Portland or Cromwell will be required to reside in Portland or Cromwell for the first initial 12 months in the program.

Willimantic Section 8 Pre-Application

     The Willimantic Housing Authority (WHA) will be accepting Preliminary Applications to be placed in a random selection lottery for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. Interested applicants must apply online at http://www.waitlistcheck.com/CT2061 between Monday, June 25, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. and Friday, June 29, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. No paper applications will be accepted. Up to 700 Preliminary Applications will be placed in the lottery. Of these preliminary applications, 500 must live or work in the Town of Windham.
     

     WHA will be open on Tuesday, June 26th and Thursday, June 28th between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to assist applicants with submitting an on-line application, if they are unable to complete an application on their own.
