Survey!

This survey is designed for staff members and volunteers of provider agencies that work “on the ground” with homeless families, including program directors, team leaders, case managers and the like. This assessment will ask various questions about your homelessness system and your opinions regarding it. Your answers will be aggregated with those of other users in your system. Please answer each question on the assessment and take all the time you need to answer each question accurately, from your perspective. Note that some questions refer to your community, others to your organization, and still others directly to you. Also, note that the survey refers to “consumers” which is an all-encompassing and general term to capture the ways in which various organizations may refer to the people they work with and serve, including: clients, service users, program participants, guests, tenants, persons with lived experience, etc.

Please forward this email to staff and colleagues who work directly with referring homeless individuals and families to services.  Our apologies for any duplicate emails you may have received, we are attempting to disseminate the information to as many providers as possible.

Wait List Open at Whalley Terrace

Dear Friends:

The Whalley Terrace waiting list is currently open. Whalley Terrace, located at 560 Whalley Avenue, is an independent living, 22 unit apartment building for those 62 years-of-age and older with low income. 10 of the units are designated for those coming out of homelessness. They are one-bedroom units that come partially furnished. Tenants are responsible to pay for electric, cable, and telephone services. Heat and hot water are included.

The building has an elevator, community room, computer room, and library as well as coin-operated laundry facilities. Case management services are available Monday- Friday during normal business hours on site.

If you would like to receive an application, please contact Charles Klompus, Property Manager for Home Inc. They maintain the waiting list for the building. He can be reached by telephone at 203.562.4663 or by email at cklompus@homeinc-ct.org.
