Wait List Open at Whalley Terrace
Dear Friends:
The Whalley Terrace waiting list is currently open. Whalley
Terrace, located at 560 Whalley Avenue, is an independent living, 22 unit
apartment building for those 62 years-of-age and older with low income. 10 of
the units are designated for those coming out of homelessness. They are
one-bedroom units that come partially furnished. Tenants are responsible to pay
for electric, cable, and telephone services. Heat and hot water are included.
The building has an elevator, community room, computer room,
and library as well as coin-operated laundry facilities. Case management
services are available Monday- Friday during normal business hours on site.
If you would like to receive an application, please contact
Charles Klompus, Property Manager for Home Inc. They maintain the waiting list
for the building. He can be reached by telephone at 203.562.4663 or by email at
cklompus@homeinc-ct.org.

ConneCT
ConneCT to New
Online
Customer Service at DSS!
Customer Service at DSS!
ConneCT is the
Connecticut Department of Social Services' new customer service website that
allows DSS clients online access to their account and helps state residents
determine if they may be eligible for benefits.
There are two new features on ConneCT:
MyAccount allows
current clients to set up an online account to check the status of their benefits.
Data is stored securely and can be easily accessed by computer or smartphone 24
hours a day, 7 days a week.
Am I Eligible is
a confidential and anonymous interactive pre-screening tool that allows
visitors to see if they may be eligible for DSS services.
Service Providers: we hope
this information will be helpful to you in your work with members of the
community. Please share the news about ConneCT customer
