Milford Project Based Lottery waitlist opening October 4th-6th, 2021 - PLEASE NOTE!!!

MILFORD REDEVELOPMENT & HOUSING PARTNERSHIP (MRHP) WAITING LIST OPENING ANNOUNCEMENT–SEPTEMBER 20, 2021

The Milford Redevelopment & Housing Partnership (MRHP), through Imagineers, will accept 500 pre-applications for its Housing Choice Voucher and Project-Based Voucher Program waiting list through a random lottery drawing.

The program offers rent subsidies to households meeting HUD eligibility guidelines.  MRHP has a Project-Based housing community, named Catherine McKeen Village, located in Milford, which has studio and one-bedroom apartments for seniors 62 years of age or older and/or disabled adult residents.

Applicants selected through this lottery who are 62 years of age or older and/or disabled adult residents will also be considered for this Project-Based housing community. The pre-application form will be available on Monday, October 4, 2021 at the following website:  www.cthcvp.org as well as the New Haven Register October 4, 2021 publication; at MRHP75 DeMaio Drive in Milford, CT; and at many Milford community service agencies.

Qualified individuals with disabilities may call 860-522-1028or hearing-impaired persons can use the TDD line at 711.  

We will accept pre-applications from Monday, October 4, 2021 until Wednesday October 6, 2021 through the mail only. No pre-applications will be accepted before October 4, 2021or by hand delivery or fax or if the form is not legible.

The pre-application form will detail the specifics of where to mail the pre-application form and other important information. After October 6, 2021the waiting list will be closed. The random drawing of the pre-applications will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 2:00 -3:30p.m. By remote means in accordance with HUD regulations and MRHP’s Administrative Plan.

You will be able to submit a pre-application form if you are elderly, disabled, single, displaced or a family regardless of race, national origin, ancestry, religion, sex, marital status, age, familial status, disability, lawful source of income, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or veteran status and are 18 years of age or older or an emancipated minor, are a citizen, or a non-citizen with eligible immigration status, and can pass a criminal history screening and your income does not exceed the income limits listed below based on family size:

Only one fully completed pre-application per envelope will be considered or per household.  You cannot submit more than one pre-application for the same household or person or they will be disqualified; be sure that another individual is not submitting a pre-application on your behalf. 

Envelopes containing more than one pre-application will not be considered for the waiting list lottery.   All pre-applications must be completely filled out and legible in order to be considered for the lottery selection.

WALLINGFORD HOUSING AUTHORITY Waiting List Opening Announcement

The Wallingford Housing Authority will accept 100 pre-applications through a computer-generated lottery for the HCV-Section 8 Waiting List for a limited preference specifically for the Mainstream Voucher Program from September 20, 2021, at 9:00AM EST through September 24, 2021, at 11:59PMEST.

The purpose of the Mainstream Voucher Program is to provide rental assistance for non-elderly (18-61), low-income families with at least one verifiably disabled family member.

The program also encourages those with disabilities who are transitioning out of institutional or other segregated settings, at serious risk of institutionalization, homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless to apply.

You will need names, social security numbers, birthdates and income information for every household member who will be listed on the application. Please be advised that you must meet the preference qualifications above, and cannot submit more than one pre-application for the same household or it will be disqualified.

Paper applications will not be available. Additionally, pre-applications will not be accepted before September 20, 2021.

The online pre-application form can be accessed by using any personal computer, laptop, smart phone or tablet. Applicants are encouraged to visit a local library for computer access to submit a pre-application.

The Wallingford Public library is located at 200 North Main Street and offers free computer access. They can be reached at 203-265-6754.

For other towns, please contact your local library, as their restrictions due to COVID-19 may be different. If you require a reasonable accommodation, please notify the office and you will be advised on how to proceed with your request. Should you need assistance, appointments will be available and scheduled upon request.

Bristol, CT Section 8 Waitlist Open 9/24/21-10/28/21

Housing Authority of the City of Bristol Waitlist Opening Notice

The Bristol Housing Authority (BHA) will be accepting pre-applications for the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV)/Section 8 Program. The open enrollment period will be from Friday, September 24, 2021, at 8:30 am to Friday October 8, 2021 2:00 pm.

Only one pre-application per family will be accepted. Duplicate applications will be rejected.

APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED BEFORE SEPTEMBER 24, 2021 OR AFTER OCTOBER 28, 2021

We strongly encourage all applicants to submit your application online at www.bristohousing.org(with the use of a personal computer, laptop, smart phone and/or tablet).If you do not have online services,you can obtain an application at our mainofficelobby located at 164 Jerome Ave., Bristol, CT 06010.  The office hours are Monday-Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Applicants must meet the above income eligibility. Applicants must also be determined eligible and qualify in accordance with HUD regulations and the Bristol Housing Authority’s Administrative Plan policies.

Following the closing date, waiting list placement will be based on a computerized random selection (lottery process). 2,000 pre-applications will be selected. Only those randomly selected will be notified of placement on the waiting list. Submission of a pre-application does not guarantee placement on the waitlist eligibility.

Families selected will receive notification by October20,2021. Applicants may also verify if they were selected on the BHA website www.bristolhousing.org. BHA is committed to compliance with all federal, state, and local fair housing laws.
