PUBLIC NOTICEDERBY HOUSING AUTHORITY HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER (HCV) PROGRAM/SECTION8 WAITING LIST TO OPEN JULY 3, 2019.

On July 3, 2019, the Derby Housing Authority, of the City of Derby, Connecticut will open the waiting list for the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program, which includes tenant-based voucher applications. 

The HCV Program is funded by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to assist low-income families with rental payments through the Section 8 Program. The Pre-application form will be available online ONLY at www.derbyhousing.com beginning at 9:00 a.m. on July 3, 2019, and will close once the application limit is reached. 

There will be no paper applications, and applications will not be available or accepted at the Derby Housing Authority office. All applicants must meet Derby Housing Authority’s eligibility restrictions according to the Housing Choice Voucher Program Administrative Plan.

Once the application period has ended the Derby Housing Authority will place the first five hundred applicants on the waitlist, according to the date and time of the application submission, as well as any applicable preferences selected.
