SAMHSA’s
Homeless and Housing Resource Network is pleased to announce the upcoming
webinar: Making it Happen in the Real World: Success of the 100,000
Homes Campaign.
This
webinar will offer participants an overview of the 100,000 Homes Campaign,
including information on identifying vulnerable individuals who are
experiencing homelessness or chronic homelessness, and creating solutions
to address their needs. SAMHSA grantees who have participated in
local campaigns will share their experiences. Webinar participants
will discuss lessons learned and how communities might use these lessons to
continue the campaign to end homelessness.

Linda Kaufman
National Field Organizer - 100,000 Homes Campaign of Community Solutions
Washington, DC
Linda
Kaufman is the National Field Organizer for Community Solutions’ 100,000
Homes Campaign. In this role, Linda is responsible for inviting
communities and states to join the campaign. She works with them to
determine who in the community is experiencing homelessness or at risk of
becoming homeless and assists in developing resources. This
nationwide, collective impact initiative has a goal of housing 100,000
chronically homeless individuals by July 2014. Linda has worked in
homeless services in DC since the mid-1980s, most recently as Chief
Operating Officer of Pathways to Housing DC. She also was the
Director of Homeless Services at the Downtown Business Improvement District
(BID) and served as the Director of Adult Services for the DC Department of
Mental Health. In addition to her work to end homelessness in DC, she
is also involved in other issues of social justice in the city.
Linda
received a Masters of Divinity at Virginia Theological Seminary. She is
ordained as an Episcopal priest and ministers at St. Stephen and the
Incarnation Episcopal Church in Washington, DC. She and her wife,
Liane Rozzell, have two sons and a dog. Linda has a life dream of
being a barista and learning to create exquisite, if fleeting, foam art on
espresso drinks.
Christa Passaglia
Executive Director – Hope for the Homeless
Shreveport, LA
Christa
Pazzaglia has served as the Executive Director of HOPE for the Homeless
since 2008, which is the CoC lead agency for Northwest Louisiana. HOPE
provides the structure of housing and services system designed to end
homelessness. She began her career in housing in 1997 at The Glen
Retirement System in marketing but realized she had a passion for those who
are experiencing homelessness. Christa went to work for the Philadelphia
Center, where she ran a program called Mercy Center that provides Permanent
Supportive Housing to people with HIV/AIDS who are homeless.
She
is an avid lover of art, animals, and people who want to change the world.
Emily J. Danielson
Director of Research and Public Policy - UNITY of Greater New Orleans
New Orleans, LA
Emily
Danielson has worked in a variety of fields to increase organizational
research capacity and link data and analysis to process improvement.
Following Hurricane Katrina, Emily worked with grassroots movements to
advocate for affordable housing and the rebuilding of public housing in New
Orleans. After receiving her M.S. from the University of New Orleans she
developed and implemented innovative research and evaluation strategies for
projects ranging from wetland restoration to economic development to disaster
response. Since working for New Orleans’ lead CoC agency – UNITY of Greater
New Orleans– she has led participation in the 100,000 Homes Campaign and
worked to implement a state-wide coordinated assessment system.
