Waitlists Temporarily Suspended for Permanent
Supportive Housing Programs
Accepting the Universal Application
Effective immediately, programs accepting the
Universal Application for Permanent Supportive Housing are temporarily
suspending waitlists.
Greater New Haven Opening Door’s 100-Day Campaign to end
Homelessness in New Haven is in the process of restructuring how homeless
individuals and families are assessed for housing needs and enter into the
community’s permanent supportive housing programs. To better manage the
restructuring process, permanent supportive housing providers are temporarily
not accepting any additional Universal Applications. More
information will be forthcoming as the new system is developed within the 100
days.
We're
really excited about getting the first 100-Day Challenge on ending chronic
homelessness underway here in New Haven. Click on this link in the New
Haven Independent for a substantive narrative - and some good pictures!
